Uploading Data

To help users quickly upload valuable data, SalesNOW Contacts, Companies, Leads and Deals can be uploaded and pulled from our Excel document template. To quickly Import Leads from an Excel document simply:

  1. Click Setup | Data Management

  2. Click on Import Leads

  3. To open the Excel Document template click on the link

  4. Once you have opened the Excel template, you will notice that Owner Email, Company Name and (if you scroll to the right) Contact Last Nameare all highlighted red. This indicates that these three fields are mandatory and must be filled in

  5. Enter key data associated with the lead and save the Excel document keeping in mind the three steps outlined in the Import Leads page. Once finished Save the Excel document to your Computer
  6. Click Browse next to Import File and select the Excel Document you have just created. You will also notice two clickable boxes
  7. Merge Duplicates: By Selecting Merge Duplicates, any records with identical information will appear as only one record.
  8. Create Calls: Selecting Create Calls, SalesNOW will automatically Schedule Calls for Leads based on the target call back date.
  9. An Upload Confirmation will then appear. Click Continue if the upload has run properly
